SAP Bong Go challenges Rappler and Inquirer to change their headlines tomorrow to say that he is innocent and did not really intervene.
No retraction from these news sites
With regards to the ongoing issue of Fake News, we know that Rappler has been on fire since the president himself called them out for saying that SAP Bong Go intervened with a government deal when he clearly didn’t.
After it was proven that he did not intervene with any deals that the government was eyeing. Rappler and Inquirer still did not retract their news.
This is part of the reason why a Senate hearing was held today.
In the said hearing, Senator Miguel Zubiri vouched for the integrity of Bong Go. Which, in all fairness shone out in the hearing. He never lashed out, he just played nice while he answers and retorts.
Call to action
As a call to Rappler, Go said he hopes that one of these days he hopes Rappler writes stories that are positive. Because according to him, these negative types of stories are not even helping.
It can be likened to having killed a person, he also urges Rappler to have a conscience because he is the victim here.
As a reply to the earlier call of Bong Go that Rappler and Inquirer retract their old news because it has already been proven that he did not intervene, people reacted that they won’t.
Or they don’t believe that these sites would. It is not in their book and they don’t play that way.
What do you think?
Paulit-ulit na sinabi ni Bong Go na fake news at malisyoso ang ulat ng Rappler na nakialam siya sa Navy frigate deal. Sinabing siya'y magre-resign kung mapapatunayang nakialam siya sa 'frigate deal'.
