A lot of people are saying that the peace and beauty in Davao City, Philippines is incomparable. This is all thanks, of course to the former mayor there, and our current President Rodrigo Duterte.
From a scary city, the former mayor was able to transform the whole Davao City into a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Anybody who has visited Davao only had one thing to say, all praise for the city.
Apart from the beauty and peace, Duterte was also able to instill good etiquette to most of the people living there. Numerous proof are coming out everyday of kind-hearted people from Davao.
Another one is this taxi driver who returned a bag with money amounting to 2 million yen or P900,000 pesos. I’d hate to think what will happen to the money and the owner if the bag was left with other taxi drivers.
This Thursday, taxi driver Reymond Gonzaga was about to eat breakfast when he noticed a bag in the backseat of his taxi.
“Nabantayan nako ang bag dihang mamahaw ko busa midiretso nalang ko sa ABS-CBN aron magpatabang nga mauli ang bag,”
(I was about to take my breakfast when I saw the bag at the back seat. I went here to ask help from ABS-CBN on what to do with the bag.)
Aside from money, the bag also had important ID and documents as well as jewelries. ABS-CBN discovered that the bag belonged to Ruth Muntag Koitabashi, who was an overseas Filipino worker in Japan.
Koitabashi immediately went to the station to claim her bag, she recalled how she was in a hurry to meet a friend that’s why she left her bag.
“Nakalimot ko sa ako bag nagdali dali lagi, dako kong pasalamat sa iyaha,”
(I’m very thankful to Reymond because he returned my bag)
Isn’t refreshing to read about this kind of news? A very welcome break from the chaos of politics these days, don’t you think?
